Hello everyone, here is the August update from Feilding Brass.
With all the ups and downs that Covid-19 is giving us, we really do feel like it’s given us lemons. Now we are at Level 2, band rehearsals can continue, but with social distancing, hand sanitiser and the most important QR tracer app.
We were very fortunate to have 10 ensembles donated to the band which we have been playing since we returned to rehearsals after the first lockdown. We appreciate the support to help get us back on our feet, during these times when the band hasn’t been able to do public appearances.
Feilding Brass does have 3 events coming up which we hope will go ahead, but as these covid times are uncertain, unfortunately can not be totally guaranteed. But we are always looking on the bright side.
The first event would see some Feilding Brass players be apart of the Manawatu Tattoo being held in Feilding in late September. The second event is playing in the Oktoberfest at the Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club in late October. And the third one at this stage is of course our very own End Of Year Concert in mid November. Not forgetting of course in December, when all the Xmas fun happens.
Tune in for event updates when they happen.
Just a reminder, if you come to our bandroom, we have the official MOH tracer app in our hallway so you can sign in to log your location. If you do not have the technology, band registrar Nigel Towers will come see you and take your name and contact number so we can log you at our bandroom on the day of your visit.
